Genius Zone: Math Monday

Every child learns best when working on something they care about.

That’s why our Genius Zone Project Rooms combine student-driven projects with skills that matter for life.

On Mondays, the second hour of our Genius Zone session is dedicated to math with a purpose. This isn’t the kind of math kids usually see in school.

Instead, we:
  • Start exactly where your child is, and build step-by-step to the next skill.
  • Teach math in a real-world money context, so kids are learning financial literacy while mastering fractions, decimals, graphing, compounding, and more.
  • Connect math skills to meaningful projects and goals, so kids see why it matters.

Students gain confidence by creating projects in their Genius Zone (aligned with their passions, talents, and values), while also developing the math and money skills that prepare them for the real world.

With mentor guidance, peer support, and Agile two-week sprints, kids learn by doing—and discover that math can actually be fun, relevant, and empowering.
